The wind tunnel is a recirculating system in which four large turbines and a nozzle circulate the air. This air recirculation system makes it possible to reach speeds that correspond to those of a real parachute jump from a height of 4,000 meters.

A flight lasts 60 seconds and corresponds to the free fall of a parachute jump from over 4,000 meters.

The entire experience lasts around 100 minutes and is structured as follows:

1. Arrival & check-in | 30 min (one hour before the flight experience)
2. Instruction & equipment | 30 min
3. Flight experience | 30 min (completing the booked number of flights)
4. Debriefing | 10 min

The entire experience is accompanied by our certified instructors, who will introduce you to the world of flying.

A licensed instructor introduces you to the world of flying. This includes instruction, equipment and a debriefing.

In the initial phases of flight training in the wind tunnel, it is not possible for several people to take off at the same time. This restriction is based on safety, quality and technical reasons. For example, it is necessary to adjust the speed in the wind tunnel individually to the person flying, their position and weight.

The flights are always completed individually with the instructor in the wind tunnel.
In this way, we guarantee 1:1 support so that the person flying can concentrate on themselves and the flying experience.

At any time! A special hand signal agreed with the instructor during the briefing is all that is needed to be escorted out of the wind tunnel.

You should wear comfortable casual clothes for flying, ideally no skirts. Choose shoes with laces so that they fit well. If your footwear is not suitable on site, we will be happy to provide you with suitable shoes.

Indoor skydiving is not dangerous. It is flown in a controlled environment and an experienced and certified instructor is present at all times. Indoor skydiving is a fascinating game between body and air. However, a pinch of adrenaline is part of the experience, especially the first time.

We do not recommend flying if a shoulder dislocation (dislocated shoulder) has already occurred and has not been treated surgically. Even if the risk of a new dislocation after the operation is lower, it is not zero. The final decision is made at your own risk.

Bodyflying – also known as indoor skydiving – is a sport in which you fly with your own body in a vertical wind tunnel. The air in the wind tunnel reaches a speed of 180 to 280 km/h. This corresponds to the falling speed of a human body in free fall in various body positions.

The minimum offer is two flights per person. However, we recommend booking 4 flights per person to fully enjoy the experience and ideally to fly your first flight maneuvers. Experience has shown that the learning curve is steepest at the beginning of a “flying career”.
Savings are also possible from three or four flights, as the third and fourth flights are associated with lower costs.

An instructor accompanies you through the entire experience. This instructor will give the instructions, provide the appropriate equipment and ensure personal 1:1 support in the wind tunnel. A second instructor operates the equipment during the flight and records the flight experience.

The flights are always completed individually with the instructor in the wind tunnel.
This ensures 1:1 support to get the most out of the experience.
During the session, all participants rotate one after the other. This means there are always short breaks in between to prepare for the next flight.
The wind is individually adjusted to the body weight and body proportions by a second instructor.
You can watch yourself fly, as the wind tunnel and the anteroom are made of glass all around.

Yes, you fly all your flights in one day or during one session. The first time everyone flies at least two flights or even up to 10 flights per session. We recommend booking 4 flights for the first time.

The corresponding exclusion criteria are listed below:

• Pregnancy
• Previously damaged shoulder joints*
• Heavier than 120 kg
• Under the influence of drugs or alcohol

*We expressly recommend that you do not fly if you have already suffered a shoulder dislocation (dislocated shoulder) and this has not been treated surgically. In this case, however, the decision lies with the person concerned.

Flying in the wind tunnel is no problem for people with impaired vision. We provide protective goggles for spectacle wearers. Do you wear contact lenses? Then we recommend them for an even more pleasant flying experience.

Basically, flying strains the lower back muscles. The ideal position is to fly with a slight hollow back.
If you are unsure or in doubt, we recommend that you consult a doctor to have your fitness to fly approved.

For safety reasons, no objects may be taken into the wind tunnel. However, accompanying persons – who are not in the same session – can photograph and film from outside.

We make photo and video recordings of all flights, which can be purchased in advance or afterwards.

It is not a problem if the booking is in the name of another person. Upon check-in, the booking is transferred to the actual participant.
Check-in can take place on site (on arrival) or in advance (online).
The link in the booking confirmation (e-mail) can be used for check-in in advance.

The wind tunnel is often fully booked, which is why we recommend that you book an appointment in advance.

Important to know: A postponement/cancellation of the appointment is not accompanied by the automatic deletion of the related invoice, as the invoice is based on a binding purchase contract for the service. In this context, the payment deadlines must be observed. A new appointment can be booked at any time using the corresponding code.

The VR simulator Birdly is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to/can’t fly in a wind tunnel or for bridging waiting times between flight sessions. For flight fans who can’t get enough of soaring through the air, our wingsuit race is ideal. This has often led to ambitious head-to-head races between colleagues 😉.

As soon as we receive the confirmation, we convert the offer into a binding order, book the flight experience and order the aperitif.
We then leave the order status until the day of the event so that we can include the consumption of drinks on site in the invoice.
If you would like an invoice in advance, this is of course also possible. In this case, we will invoice the consumption separately.
If you would like to be invoiced, just send us a short message.

Of course this is not a problem. Everyone is welcome to join us, regardless of whether they want to fly or not. Those who do not wish to actively participate in the flight are welcome to watch or try out our VR-Birdly to experience a virtual flying experience.
If flights are canceled at short notice, they can also be passed on to other participants.

The booking confirmations, which are sent by email, can be forwarded to the participants for online check-in.
This can – but does not have to – be done in advance. If you arrive on time, there will also be enough time for this on site.

In a private session you have the instructor just for you – from the briefing to the debriefing. This gives you complete flexibility and undisturbed flying enjoyment – without anyone else around. The flight time is 30 minutes and can be divided flexibly between the participants. The only requirement is a minimum of 2 flights per person. Free flight time can be divided equally or made available as “extra flights” at the end of the flight session.

The flight package can be adjusted to the actual number of participants free of charge up to 72 hours before the event. In the case of additional participants, however, only if corresponding flight sessions are still available.
If further cancellations are received after the deadline has passed, the booked flight time can no longer be shortened. However, the time freed up can be distributed among the participants or made available as “extra flights” at the end of the flight session. This means that nothing is lost, only redistributed.

Adjustments to ordered aperitif quantities can be made up to 7 days before the event.

Registration or online check-in can – but does not have to – be done in advance. If you arrive on time, there will also be sufficient time for this on site. If registration takes place on site, adult supervisors are authorized to sign. The presence of a legal representative is therefore not required.

The booking confirmations sent out contain all the necessary information for an online check-in. These can be forwarded to the parents of the participants.

If there are several children, we recommend that the parents fill out the registration form in advance. This saves the effort and any associated inconvenience on site.

We only organize children’s birthday parties with a maximum of 10 children. If more than 10 children take part, we can offer a date for a flying experience. Unfortunately, the party afterwards cannot take place at our premises.

We apologize for this restriction, but we had to introduce this rule due to past experience.

The Flight School is especially interesting for people who want to learn to fly in a wind tunnel or improve their skills in this sport. The basics of independent and safe flying in the prone position are taught in four training blocks of 15 minutes each.

Once you have completed the four levels of Flight School, you will receive Proflyer status. This allows you to benefit from lower flight prices, share the wind tunnel with other Proflyers and take part in our skills camps after being checked by an instructor. This will help you to continuously improve your skills.

Each level contains 15 flights, which corresponds to 15 minutes of flying time. It is completed during one day.

1. Level 1 teaches controlled flying in the prone position in all directions.
2. Flight skills are refined in level 2 by following the coach through the wind tunnel.
3. You feel comfortable in the abdominal position and do your first exercises for flying on your back in level 3.
4. In level 4, the skills learned are consolidated. After this level you can fly in the wind tunnel without a coach.

Important to know:
The learning objectives for each level are not set in stone and are tailored to your individual learning pace. Your coach picks up where you left off at the previous level or repeats what still needs to be consolidated.

We recommend booking a maximum of two levels per day.

The price includes all the equipment, such as the suit, a full-face helmet and, of course, ear protection. You therefore only need to bring clean and well-fitting lace-up shoes.

The Flight School offer includes:

• Full equipment for the flights (suit, helmet, goggles and hearing protection)
• Training and dry training with our experienced coaches
• Debriefing of the flights with the coach
• Video recordings
• Flight logbook
• Proflyer status and Windwerk goodie on completion of the 4th level

To achieve Proflyer status, all 4 levels must be completed.
If you would first like to gain an insight into the sport of indoor skydiving, you can also book just Level 1 and then decide whether you would like to continue.

After completing the Flight School, you are officially a Proflyer, benefit from low fares, can fly with other Proflyers and take part in various events.

Experience shows that you need at least two hours of individual coaching before you take part in a skills camp for the first time.

You receive Proflyer status as a skydiver with a valid license or with at least 60 minutes of flight experience in the wind tunnel. With this status you can benefit from our Proflyer packages.

You must create an account here and apply for Proflyer status. We will grant you Proflyer status immediately after successful verification.

If you do not yet meet the requirements, simply complete the four levels of our Flight School. You can find the relevant courses here.

Ideally, you should book 10 to 15 minutes per session. A session lasts 30 minutes and you need time to rest.
If you want to fly several sessions, we recommend that you take a break of at least 30 minutes in between when booking. If you want to fly with the same coach, we recommend a break of 60 minutes between sessions.

Your booked flight time expires.

The timeslot categories are based on different prices for your flight time.
You fly cheaper in the off-peak period than in the peak period. As a rule, the configurations listed below apply, although we generally reserve the right to make changes (e.g. holiday/pre-Christmas period, etc.).

Off-peak times:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (from 6 p.m.), Thursday and Friday
• Weekend: 08.00-10.30 and from 18.30

Main times:

• Wednesday afternoon
• Weekend: 10.30-18.30
• Vacation/holidays

You can spend a pleasant time in our cozy living room atmosphere and watch the flights in the wind tunnel. Our snack bar is also available, offering a selection of various hot and cold drinks and is also suitable for small appetites.

Participants under the age of 18 require the written consent of a parent or legal guardian. The declaration will be sent by e-mail before the flight experience and can be completed at home or on site.

That’s not a problem. We regularly let wheelchair users or people with other disabilities take off with us. It is important that the booking is made by e-mail or telephone.

We prefer off-peak times and make a note of this internally for our instructors. This ensures optimal support.

We are very easy to reach by public transport. The bus stop “Ohrbühl” (3 minutes’ walk) and the S-Bahn stop “Winterthur-Hegi” (5 minutes’ walk) are within walking distance.

As a leisure and sports facility, we are anything but animal-friendly and therefore cannot allow dogs in the building. It should be borne in mind that the cheers and applause of the guests are accompanied by vibrations. In addition, there are high-frequency whistling sounds from the wind tunnel that are inaudible to the human ear. So this is really not a suitable place for the furry family member.
