Sure, our wind tunnel needs a lot of power. But we take our ecological footprint seriously. That’s why we rely on smart solutions for greater sustainability. We are particularly proud of the fact that our wind tunnel is the first to use waste heat for heating and hot water – and that’s just the beginning. What drives us? Always looking for new ways to make our operations more sustainable and efficient.
The power of the sun
The first phase of our photovoltaic system on the flat roof started in December 2023 – 104 m², 53 modules and an impressive 22 kWp. In April 2025, we clad the south side of our tower. Now our entire 211 m² PV system generates a total of 44 kWp – that’s equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of around ten average 4-person households. Clean, right?
Every step counts
Sustainability is also in the little things. That’s why we use resource-saving alternatives everywhere:
– Regional partners: From snacks to merchandise – we choose local suppliers wherever possible to avoid long transport routes.
– LED power: Our entire building is lit in an energy-saving and efficient way.
– Digital & paperless: Bookings, invoices, business cards – we avoid paper.
– Recycled materials: Whether napkins or flyers – we use recycled paper.
Your ideas for environmental and climate protection
